Who's new and who is leaving

This year we have a number of new people joining the student team and we want to give them a big warm welcome. So let me introduce you to them

John and Dorothy Bartlett
John works at the Western General Hospital in Cancer Research and Dorothy teaches undergrads and further education students law at Napier University and Stevenson's College. They have two children Alastair and Jennifer.

Tom Miller
Tom is one of the few Medical students kicking around Edinburgh and has decided to brave it onto the Student Team. This is particularly courageous of Tom as in his youth he came up against the mammoth Alastair Lamb in a rowing race and lost under, well I'll let Tom tell you the story but I warn you it not a story for the faint hearted:-)

James Maurice
I'll let you guess what James does! James comes to the student team fresh from being involved with CIS which I first thought was some secret intelligence agency but was disappointed when I found out that CIS really stood for Christians in Sport. James is also is very strong! at boys weekend he went to bed reading Don Carson's "Gagging of God"...so don't mess with him people.

Lorna Goldring
Okay maybe these Medic's aren't so rare after all but Lorna is a real one and can make people better so were pleased to have her on the team.

Sarah Chambers
Sarah joins us from leading the Queen Margaret University Christian Union and actually knows what going on in the student world. I say that because there people on this student team and who will remain nameless who don't even know what a Blog is ***grin***

Glynn Irving
I have saved the best to last because Glynn is and ENGINEER wahoo!!!! which everyone know is better than being a Medic :-) and raises the total number of engineers on the team to 3. Bring it on!!!

Owen Brown
Is no stranger to Edinburgh or the Chapel but for the last year he has been work hard for IFES in France. He is also Welsh and proud of it and we're proud too to have him on the team.

Sadly we have to say a good bye to some people....

Richard and Claire Alldritt
left for the big smoke to go and take the gospel to the English:-)
Rich is working as an apprentice for St Helen's Bishopsgate and Claire is working as an accountent keeping Rich in the ways he's acustomed.

Jill Gibson
Has decided to invest her energies and abilites in Niddrie Community Church and we pray that she will be a great encouragment to the people there.

Al and Helen Lamb
They've not left yet and may not be able too if I get Hadriens wall rebuilt! But if they do manage to cross the boarder Al has a medic job in Cambridge starting in February and because Al NEEDs Helen we've decided to let her go with him:-)
